Skypirates - Admiral AJ vs Pirarity

This is what you nailed:
- Textures
the way you use textures for wood, cloth, leather etc. is amazing it adds so much
- Design
when it's there, than it's almost guaranteed to bee designed wonderfully, clothes, the stair's edges, the front statue of the one ship, the swords, so nice. And of course, the main characters in here, the hair and fur are so well done

Here is what I think needs improvement:
- The Background:
As Everlasting Joy mentioned, your Backgrounds need work, this is a sea of white and blue and it almost outright tells me that not much effort went into this, I like the parts around the mountains though, you can see a clear horizon, it may just be me but I think that would have worked for the rest too.

-Plane Decks
I already complemented your Design and Details, but what kinda annoys me is that those 2 things really only come together in the picture for Rarity, AJ and a bit of the background airship. What I mean is, the Ships are absolutely clean, no cuts, no holes, no broken banks laying around. I think such "cleanness" would have worked if you put more unique Designs in other things as well, like the railings on the lower right (at least they are there, so you don't have to construct additional ones... and yes, this joke was horribly forced)

Detail:
You put a lot of work in small things here, like Raritys Amulet, or all of AJs clothing, but I can't barely see it, maybe it's because I was there when you drew it, but I think this pic deserved a higher-resolution upload

That would be it, only thing left saying is that I really like this picture <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="366" title=" (Big Grin)"/> because HD Rarity (:, and my other opinions are failry explained by my ratings there
